These values articulated in the fall of 2009 are used as a decision making tool and as a guiding reference point for the summer camp program. They are not in order of importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> Responsibility<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Responsibility for one’s own self<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Responsibility to the family<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Responsibility to the community<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> Peacemaking<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Resolving conflicts and healing broken relationships with those around us, even if we are the wronged party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. <\/strong>Community<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Being a part of a close group. In the camp setting this would be the cabin group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.<\/strong> Nature Appreciation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Valuing nature because it was created by God and reflects God’s artistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.<\/strong> Worship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Praising God for who He is and what He has done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.<\/strong> Fun<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Making every activity a joy to participate in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.<\/strong> Scripture taught from an Anabaptist perspective<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Creating biblical literacy in future church leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.<\/strong> Christ Centered<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Bringing Jesus into everything we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.<\/strong> Leadership Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Modeling good leadership while giving opportunities for others to try out their leadership skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.<\/strong> Accessible and Affordable<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Making camp open to everyone regardless of economic status or disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.<\/strong> Stewardship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Taking care of what we have been given. Using resources wisely and minimizing waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.<\/strong> Service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Helping others in practical ways as a demonstration of how Christ loves us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13.<\/strong> Safety<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Assess the risk of each activity beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

•Provide proper supervision for all activities.<\/p>\n\n\n
