In the interest in promoting growth, best practices, and connection to the larger Anabaptist body for our churches, Camp supports these retreats by waiving lodging fees.  Leadership teams will only be charged registration and meals when they stay.  This offer applies to any weekend year-round, or mid-week dates, excluding when <a href=\"https:\/\/campdeerpark.org\/es\/kb\/summer-camp\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Summer Camp is a sleep-away Christian Camping Program of Camp Deerpark for children ages 8-13 and teens ages 14-16. Summer Camp for children typically runs Sun-Fri for 5 consecutive weeks in July and August with children attending any number of weeks and returning home every weekend. This framework uses the Belong &gt; Become &gt; Believe progression for human&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Summer Camp<\/a> is in session,  provided Camp has availability and the required number of guests meets the Food Service Threshold (otherwise other arrangements for food may be required).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Camp welcomes Church Leadership <a href=\"https:\/\/campdeerpark.org\/es\/kb\/retreats\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Since camp was first purchased, weekend retreats have been a constant source of enjoyment for congregations from New York City. The first retreat at camp was held in May of 1969. Camp hosted the youth groups from the city churches, with about 70 youth attending. Glad Tidings Mennonite Church held the first church retreat in July 1969. Retreats allow congregations to slow down from the busyness of their normal New York City schedule and take the time to deepen their relationships. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s different than when you see people each week. You can slowdown and go deeper,&rdquo; was a comment from&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Retreats<\/a> for Owner and User Churches at their respective regular fee rates, leadership retreats of <a href=\"https:\/\/campdeerpark.org\/es\/kb\/owner-churches\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Owner Churches are churches that own Camp through their participation in the NYC Council of Mennonite Churches (NYCCMC). As a ministry of these Owner Churches, Camp seeks to serve and strengthen these churches and extend their ministry space as they accomplish their mission. Owner churches may recommend church members as candidates to the Camp Board of Directors, subject to a approval process detailed in the By-laws. In the past, Camp has sought to maintain a majority of board seats held by members of Owner Churches.
