On-Boarding
On-Boarding is the process of introducing and integrating Staff and Volunteers into the mission, community, culture, and workflows of Camp. It involves two inter-woven layers: Camp and Role. The Camp layer is the context — what is Camp, how does it work, who connects here, etc. The Role layer is — what do I have to offer, what do I need to play my part, how am I going to serve, etc. Successful on-boarding happens when we are responsive and intentional about integrating these two layers together.
Our on-boarding process explores these two layers using The Seven Questions: what (intrinsic), what (extrinsic), why, who, how, when/where, and to what extent.
