      Both Flex-Flo A-130-6 Peristaltic Chlorine Pumps in the Swimming Pool pump house where struggling to move Cl. They would work intermittently. Especially after low frequency setting at night, the supply lines would be full of air and very little Cl, if any, was discharged into the line.

      The supply line to the big pool was changed with little result. During this change, it was discovered this pump was experiencing excessive back pressure with pool water sputtering out of the supply side. Due to this, the inlet on the 2″ PVC pool return was changed (it was already leaking badly).

      In the end, we decided the issue was the pump tubes inside the tumbler chamber of the pump. When these tubes wear, they collapse and this lack of reverse displacement fails to create suction. The tubes were replaced with:
