Due to the ongoing issues with the Huebsch JTD32DG Dryer (see here), we’re looking at using a residential-sized dryer for temporary service. Here’s the summary of my research so far:
We have a Maytag MEDC700VW0 electric dryer in stock at House 1. It seems ready for service and has a plug that matches the 240V service terminal/outlet already in the Cleanliness area.
This dryer is 27″ at its widest. There are currently 27.5″ between the wall and the Huebsch dryers.
The Huebsch dryers have a 6″ exhaust duct through the roof. The Maytag would use a 4″ line and may not be able to exhaust using this system. There is a 4″ whole cut through the block wall at the location from a former vent, but the hole is plugged and there is no exit for this vent on the outside of the building. I’ll have to check the install specs to see which way we should go: connect to 6″ stack or bring 4″ vent through building wall.
