Campfires
Campfires can refer to two things: 1) actual campfires, or 2) a category of Program and Communications.
Campfires (Communications)
Campfires (Communications) are Bible-based devotions and meditations that can be shared anywhere, but are best around a campfire — or read or watched as if you were at a campfire. These themes, thoughts, and media are created to be “spiritual intersections” where the teachings of Jesus and other themes about discipleship and the Christian life connect to the experiences of our work and life as a community at Camp, in the city, and wherever we may go. Campfires have their own category on the Smoke Signals Blog and are tagged according to projects, areas of Camp, or life experiences to which they may apply. This tagging allows us to create a library of spiritual formation to accompany the experiences of Camp as a guest, on staff, or as a volunteer. Campfires are also often used as the central thought of a Kneemail — our regular prayer communication — donor letters, and other communications.
