CC Shiplap Siding
CC Shiplap Siding is Camper Cabin (CC) Siding with Shiplap edges (stair or L-shaped overlapping edges) — a custom Wood Product developed and produced for the ATTB Consturction Project. The product is produced out of Northern White Pine as part of our Forestry Stewardship Program to log out pine in favor of mixed hardwoods. The product is logged by CDP Construction crews and cut on our Woodmizer LT40 Sawmill. Rough planing is done simultaneously with edge-milling by a neighbor on antique milling machines.
Due to durability vs cost considerations, this produce is installed unfinished. We expect 20-40 years of service life with minimal replacement costs in materials (since CDP supplies) and labor (2-3 days work). This is compared to approximately $1200 semi-annually for stains or silicone treatments with not much extension of service life.
