A large dead multi-bole ash tree is threatening the main power delivery lines on Brandt Rd across from the 154 Brandt driveway in the area just south of the Cemetery. Mark Sandor of Sandor Tree Removal indicated the tree was too close to the power lines for anyone but O&R to remove via bucket truck.

I contacted O&R using the following form: https://www.oru.com/en/services-and-outages/report-tree-interference

Bernie from O&R stopped by today, took a look at the tree and called in the pole number (we should remember when possible to include this info when reporting). The contracted tree team should be dispatched soon for removal.

I asked if they could leave the tree for firewood. Bernie said we would have to ask the contractor since they may be contractually required to grind it. If grinding, I wonder if they could grind and we could have the chips?

Henry from Nelson Tree Service visited for home owner approval for the removal. I was not home, so I called back and gave approval for removal. Henry informed me they do not take the wood, so it will be available for Firewood processing.

Henry and his crew came 9/19 and took the top out of the tree. The trunk still needs to come down and the firewood cut.
