Owners
Camp Deerpark is owned by 18 Mennonite Churches in NYC through the NYC Council of Mennonite Churches. This page is a dedicated space for Camp to support these churches as an extension of their ministry space and activities.
Touch-Points
NYC Council of Mennonite Churches: (NYCCMC) Quarterly in-person meetings hosted by member churches. Annual Convention — hosted bi-annually at Camp Deerpark.
NYC LMC District: Monthly Zoom calls led by Bishop Hyacinth Stevens, currently centered around “Missional Movement” using The Journey Map framework.
Special Offers and Services
Owner Church Discount — events at Camp planned by owner churches receive a discount (typically 10%) off the total price of their bill. Members and youth of owner churches may also qualify for discounts and scholarships to attend Camp programming like Summer Camp or Peace Camp.
Pastor Personal Retreats — Pastors of owner churches and their immediate family members may stay at Camp mid-week (Mon-Thurs) for renewal and refreshing at no cost. Meal service is typically not provided during mid-week.
Bishop’s Church Leadership Retreat — have your church leadership meet with your overseeing bishop and only pay registration and meals (lodging is free).
NYCCMC Leadership Team Retreats — The officers of the NYC Council of Mennonite Churches can meet at Camp at no cost (lodging and meals) to conduct official business of the council.
Events and Resources
LMC Youth Leader’s Retreat — February 28-March 1, 2025 (Spanish Available): All Youth Workers and Leaders are invited to fellowship and discuss the following topics: healthy sexuality, multi-church youth groups, discipling youth today, youth survey results, and service opportunities.
